Kris Hodges met Andy Palacio in Belize in 2007 and fell in love with the music and the tradition of the Garifuna people, and became comitted to bringing them to FloydFest. Last year was an incredible year for Andy, who had a #1 release on the World charts in Europe, was named a UNESCO Artist for Peace, and won the prestigious WOMEX Award. We feel fortunate to have known this incredible individual and we mourn the loss of a truly great man. Andy Palacio passed away in Belize on January 19th 2008. Read more
